Adinkra International Arts & Crafts Show Ghana 2023 set to take place in Aburi from 10 to 15 Oct

The Papaye Recreational Village at Aburi in the Eastern Region, will become the main centre of attention when Ghana hosts the maiden edition of the Adinkra International Arts and Crafts Show from October 10 to October 15, 2023.

The six-day show, organised by the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), will highlight authentic African art, craft, home décor, jewellery, and textile products while serving as a hub for inspiration and knowledge exchange.

The craft, textile, and home decor fair will also coincide with the 2023 edition of ‘Odwira’, the main annual traditional festival of the chiefs and people of Aburi. Visitors will have the opportunity to witness the display of rich Ghanaian culture and visit tourist centres such as the Aburi Botanical Gardens.

The biennial event is intended to boost art exports by showcasing high-quality African artworks while providing a platform for industry players to network and explore business opportunities.

Adinkra presents a complete package of business activities, including exhibitions, seminars, B2B and buyer-seller meetings, mentorship sessions, fun parks, and other activities designed to make the experience memorable.

More than 200 domestic and foreign exhibitors are expected to attend, making it a prime location for business collaborations, the discovery of new and unique products, investment opportunities, getting insights into market and product trends, and positioning Africa as a hub for product sourcing.

The Adinkra International Arts and Crafts Show Ghana will have four stages: Home Décor, Giving, Sustainability and Inspiring. Home Décor showcases authentic African handicrafts; Giving celebrates gift ideas; Sustainability showcases products and solutions to protect the environment; and Inspiring provides a dedicated pavilion for networking sessions.
