Burkina Faso seeks GEPA’s Collaboration to Organize Economic and Trade Promotion in Accra

A delegation from the Burkina Faso Embassy in Accra led by the 2nd Consular in charge of Economic Affairs, Fatoumata Ouedrago and a representative from the Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sherif Ouedrago, paid a working visit to GEPA’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Afua Asabea Asare to discuss a collaboration with GEPA to organise the “Economic and Trade Promotion Days” in Accra in July 2022.

Present at the meeting in addition to Dr. Asare were the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of GEPA in charge of Operations and Finance, Mr. Samuel Dentu, Director of Projects at GEPA, Mr. Alex Dadzawa and Mr. Banda Abdallah, head of Trade in Services and Manufacturing, GEPA.

The meeting discussed the modalities for the organization of the Economic and Trade Promotion event and to submit the project concept paper to GEPA and to further see the Authority’s  support for the organisation of the event. According to the delegation, “the choice of selecting Ghana is justified by the fact that it is the second country of destination for its exports and imports”

Dr. Asare congratulated the Embassy and the Government of Burkina Faso for the laudable initiative and for promoting the Economic and Trade relations with Africa countries through the JPEC event. She indicated to the delegation to assure His Excellency of Burkina Faso,  of GEPA’s readiness to provide the necessary support for the successful organization of the program in Ghana.
