CEO of GEPA and the Consul General of the Republic of Ghana to Dubai and the Northern Emirates Meet Organisers of Gulfood 2026

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Francis Kojo Kwarteng Arthur, Esq., together with the Consul General of the Republic of Ghana to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, H.E. Grace El Mahmoud Marabe, held a strategic engagement with organisers of Gulfood 2026 at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.
The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Ghana’s participation in major international trade exhibitions and to expand market access opportunities for Ghanaian exporters. Discussions focused on Ghana’s potential participation in future editions of the Gulfood Exhibition, with particular emphasis on positioning Ghanaian products more competitively on the global food and beverage market.
During the engagement, the organisers provided insights into the structure of the Gulfood Exhibition, emerging trends within the global food trade, and opportunities available to African countries, including Ghana, to enhance visibility, networking, and business partnerships at the event. The discussions also explored possible collaboration frameworks that would enable Ghana to maximise value from its participation, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises operating within the Non-Traditional Export sector.
Following the initial meeting, the CEO of GEPA and the Consul General were directed by senior representatives of the Gulfood organising team to a second venue to hold further discussions with the organiser responsible for Africa. This subsequent engagement allowed for more focused conversations on Africa-specific participation models, pavilion arrangements, and strategic considerations for strengthening Ghana’s footprint at the exhibition.
The meetings shows GEPA’s duty to leveraging international trade fairs and exhibitions as platforms to promote Ghanaian products, facilitate business-to-business engagements, and attract investment into the country’s export sector.
Gulfood remains one of the world’s largest and most influential food and beverage exhibitions, attracting industry leaders, buyers, and investors from across the globe.
