CEO of GEPA Meets FAGE
The CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Francis Kojo Kwarteng Arthur Esq, met with the President of the Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE) Mr. Davis Korboe, together with corporate members under the federation.
The meeting was to explore strategies for boosting exports, including tackling challenges like tariffs at the port, export financing, and spoilage of key crops such as yam.
Both organizations discussed the importance of capacity building, improving disease resistance crops, and enhancing technical standards to meet international demands.
Mr. Kwarteng Arthur suggested the creation of an innovative joint task force between Ghana Export Promotion Authority, FAGE, and the Ghana Shippers Authority to address the tarrif challenges.
With a shared focus on leveraging the 24-hour economy, consolidating shipping, and improving airline partnerships, they are committed to strengthening Ghana’s export landscape.
