Annual Report 2019: Agribusiness sub-sector

Total NTE’s earnings from the Agricultural sub-sector in 2019 amounted to US$430.233 million compared to US$591.036 million earned in 2018, reflecting a decrease of 27.21%. This sub-sector contributed 14.84% to total NTE earnings in the year under review.

The top ten products in the Agribusiness sub-sector contributed more than 86% of the total earnings of the sector, with cashew emerging as the biggest contributor to the sub-sector.

The biggest importers of Ghana’s agric products are located in Europe (largely due to EPA), India, the Middle East and the Orient.
