The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) has sponsored 60 Ghanaian businesses to showcase their products at the 2025 International Handicrafts Week of Grand-Bassam (SIAB) in Côte d’Ivoire.

The 10-day fair, organised by the Society for International African Art Foundation and the Network of Professionals Artisans of Africa (RAAPA), officially opened on July 31, 2025, at the Maison du Patrimoine Culturelle in Abidjan.

The SIAB handicraft week is held yearly to provide a platform to promote African artisanal products and foster trade among art dealers.

Ghana was represented as a special guest at the opening ceremony by H.E. Halarie Dey, Acting Head of Mission of Côte d’Ivoire, and Mr. Samuel Asante, Head of Consular Affairs at the Ghana Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Ghanaian exhibitors comprise businesses in the garments, handicrafts and cosmetics sectors.
