GEPA participates in Invest-Zambia International Conference

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) participated in the Invest Zambia International Conference held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, Zambia. The event brought together high-level stakeholders from around the world to discuss trade and investment. Leading GEPA’s delegation was Deputy CEO, Mr. Ambrose Edwin Nsarkoh, who engaged in strategic discussions to advance Ghana’s export agenda.

As part of the mission, Mr. Nsarkoh held a pivotal meeting with the Ghana High Commission in Lusaka, where discussions focused on establishing a Ghana Trade House in Zambia, identifying potential product-market matches for Zambian consumers, and exploring ways to boost Ghana-Zambia commercial ties under the AfCFTA.

He also met with Mr. Albert Halwampa, Director General of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), to explore deeper collaboration between the two institutions. The conversations centred around capacity-building exchanges in value-added sectors, such as fashion and agro-processing, as well as Ghanaian training programs for Zambian buyers in apparel production, and a mutual drive to diversify exports beyond traditional commodities.

The GEPA delegation also paid a working visit to Trade Kings Group, a leading Zambian manufacturer, to explore opportunities in industrial collaboration and knowledge exchange within the FMCG space.

This mission aligns with GEPA’s commitment under the Accelerated Export Development Programme (AEDP) of the government to build strategic partnerships, create market access, and enhance Ghana’s export competitiveness across the continent.
