GEPA Receives Award For Made In Ghana Fair of 2017

Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), was on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 awarded for its sponsorship package offered the ‘Made In Ghana Street Fair’, which came off at Osu Oxford Street last year.

The awards ceremony, was organized by Ministry of Trade and Industry with Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) partnering in the awards ceremony organization.

According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, “The idea of the Made-In-Ghana fair, was to promote hidden talents from the hamlets, expose them, bring their products and inventions to the limelight and assist with value addition.”

It added, “This we believe will help unearth talents and assist government to explore the districts and enhance its one district one factory initiative.”

GEPA received the major category; a category for highly valued sponsors, of the street fair. This is in recognition of the level of GEPA’s contribution to the organization and success of the Made in Ghana Street Fair, most particularly for last year.

Other recipients of the awards included; Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Melcom Ghana, Ashanti Foam Ltd popularly called Ashfoam, National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) among others.

Director for Marketing at GEPA, Mrs Agnes Adjei-Sam received the award on behalf of the Authority.
