GEPA refurbishes Aburi Craft Village for international exhibitions

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, has officially opened the refurbished Aburi Craft Village in Aburi.

The multifaceted edifice will serve as a showroom and an exhibition Centre for local and international handicraft fairs.

As part of the commissioning of the showroom, there is a 5-day exhibition running till December 26, 2021 featuring a wide range of exhibitors dealing in a variety of handicraft products.

Present at the colourful opening event was Otoobour Djan Kwasi II, Aburihene/Adontenhene and Acting President of the Akuapem Traditional Council and Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, with his retinue of Chiefs and Queenmothers.

Hon. Herbert Krapa, Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry who was Guest of Honour performed the opening with the assistance of Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, Chief Executive Officer, GEPA and Nana Otoobour Djan Kwasi II.

The general theme that run through speeches delivered by dignitaries, encouraged members of the Aburi Craft Village to adopt a culture of maintenance while taking advantage of capacity building initiatives that Government institutions offered from time to time.
