Ghana-Kenya Business Forum held in Accra

A business forum for Ghanaian and Kenyan business leaders has been held in Accra under the theme, Driving Investment and Intra-African Trade: The Ghana-Kenya Experience.

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the President of Kenya, William Ruto, led trade delegations from the two countries to deliberate on improving bilateral trade and partnerships.

The CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), Osafohene Dr. Afua Asabea Asare I, moderated a discussion on removing trade barriers to enhance intra-African trade.

She announced that GEPA has established a trade centre in Kenya to boost economic cooperation between Ghana and countries within the East Africa region.

Opened on May 23, 2023, the Ghana Trade House, a one-stop-shop outlet in Nairobi’s Sameer Business Park, provides a platform for Ghanaian exporters to showcase their products and services in the East African country.

Equipped with storage and warehouse facilities, it also serves as a centre for networking between Ghanaian and Kenyan business representatives.

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, called on African entrepreneurs to form partnerships and explore opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
