TradeAID Integrated was formed in 2000 at the initiative of Apokerah Nicholas following the findings of his an undergraduate project work on the topic “The role of Ghana’s National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI) on the output levels of straw basket weavers in Bolgatanga District.

TradeAID Integrated raison d’etre from its formation was to introduce fair trade as an alternative trading to the basket weavers of Bolgatanga and to explore ways of building the capacities of these weavers so as to enable them make a living from their work. TradeAID Integrated has since moved on to provide holistic enterprise development support to its constituents.
