Coty’s board to reach female majority as new appointments announced

THE WHAT? Coty has announced two appointments to its Board of Directors. Anna Adeola Makanju and Mariasun Aramburuzabala Larregui joined the board on December 18, 2020. Paul S Michaels is standing down after completing a five-year term, resulting in Coty’s Board of Directors reaching a female majority (seven of the 13 Directors).

THE DETAILS Anna Adeola Makanju is a renowned expert in global policy who brings over fifteen years of experience across U.S. government and leading private sector companies. Currently Global Policy Manager for content regulation at Facebook, Makanju drives the company’s approach to emerging regulatory frameworks around the world.

Mariasun Aramburuzabala Larregui is President of the Board & CEO of Tresalia Capital, a leading global investor with investments and transactional experience throughout Latin America, Asia, Europe and the US. She also serves as a Board Director for several global corporations and institutions, including Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) and Grupo Modelo.

THE WHY? Sue Y. Nabi, Chief Executive Officer of Coty, explains, “Mariasun and Anna are outstanding leaders who have already achieved so much in their chosen careers.
