West Africa is noted for the production and consumption of cassava and cassava related products. Nigeria and Ghana are amongst the top 10 global producers of fresh cassava, with Nigeria and Ghana occupying the first and the second positions in ECOWAS respectively.

The study therefore aimed at identifying the demand and supply condition of the product and also how to improve the performance and growth of cassava value chain and related services by stimulating its contribution to industry, regional trade, exports and job creation.
