Yams in the USA – Competitor Report

Ghana’s exports of Yams to the world in 2021 stood at US$48.2m. Being the largest world exporter of Yams, Ghana had a world share of 24.1%.

Global export of yams was valued a little over US$200m, with a recorded annual growth rate of 4% from 2020 to 2021.

Leading global exporters of fresh yams in 2021 were Ghana, Jamaica, USA, Japan, China, and Costa Rica
