Circulation of draft Agreement marks major milestone in investment facilitation talks

Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala welcomed progress made by participants in the negotiations on investment facilitation for development (IFD) towards a meaningful and effective agreement. Speaking on 16 December at a high-level stocktaking session organized by participating members, DG Okonjo-Iweala said the circulation of the latest negotiating text is a major breakthrough towards concluding an Agreement that will attract and retain more and higher quality investment, taking into account the respective development priorities of members.
