DDG Yi stresses importance of WTO-APEC cooperation in crucial period for global trade

Deputy Director-General Yi Xiaozhun has stressed the importance of exploiting the synergies between the WTO and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in a crucial period for global trade. Speaking at a meeting of the APEC Geneva caucus at the WTO on 24 January, chaired by Chile’s Vice Minister for Trade Rodrigo Yáñez, DDG Yi said this cooperation will be needed more than ever to face important challenges but also to seize the unique opportunity to renew the multilateral trading system.
