Members agree on process aimed at enhancing implementation of SPS Agreement
WTO members agreed on the process for undertaking the work programme aimed at identifying and addressing challenges in the implementation of the Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures. At a meeting of the SPS Committee on 9-11 November, members committed to cooperate on assessing the impact of emerging challenges, including population growth, climate change, new technologies, innovation, and pest/disease pressures, in the application of the Agreement. Members also addressed a large number of trade concerns.
