Trade Dialogues event looks at role of trade in supporting climate action
At a Trade Dialogues session held on 26 October, key stakeholders, including business representatives and non-governmental organisations, discussed how to mainstream trade into climate policy and how trade opening and sustainable investment can support net zero strategies for carbon dioxide emissions. In the lead-up to the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the WTO’s 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12), participants called for urgent action to achieve the Paris Agreement climate goals.
