Recognizing Excellence in Ghana’s Export Sector: 33rd and 34th Presidential Awards for Export Achievement

His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, the President of Ghana

The Exporters Awards is a flagship initiative of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA), created to recognise and celebrate outstanding performance within Ghana’s Non-Traditional Export sector. Over the years, the Awards have grown into a respected platform for acknowledging exporters whose dedication and innovation continue to strengthen Ghana’s presence in global markets.

Previous editions of the Exporters Awards have highlighted the achievements of exporters across key sectors, while also providing a networking platform for exporters, policymakers, development partners an

d other stakeholders in the export ecosystem. The event has consistently served as both a celebration of excellence and a reminder of the critical role exports play in national development.

The Awards were instituted to encourage high standards, promote healthy competition and inspire exporters to pursue growth, innovation and market expansion. By recognising excellence, GEPA seeks to showcase success stories that can motivate emerging exporters and reinforce best practices across the sector.

Award categories traditionally cover major areas of Non-Traditional Exports, including Agribusiness, Manufacturing, Industrial Arts and Crafts, and Services. Assessment criteria are based on factors such as export performance, market diversification, product quality, innovation, compliance with international standards, and overall contribution to economic growth.

The next edition of the Exporters Awards is scheduled for 17th December 2025, at the Grand Arena, Accra (strictly by invitation). The event is expected to bring together exporters and key stakeholders once again to celebrate achievements and reaffirm the importance of building a strong and competitive export economy.

In line with its mandate, GEPA continues to support exporters through capacity-building programmes, market access initiatives, participation in international exhibitions, and targeted interventions delivered through the GEPA Impact Hub. The Exporters Awards form part of these broader efforts to promote excellence, visibility, and sustainable growth within Ghana’s non-traditional export sector.

GEPA looks forward to welcoming exporters and stakeholders to the 2025 Exporters Awards as it continues to champion the growth and global recognition of Made-in-Ghana products.
